Viper shoots James Morrison's new Video Promo - Feb 2007
Viper was used to shoot the talented singer James Morrisons new single 'Undiscovered'. The camera was shot  at 720 50P to allow slow motion effects and capturing the Vipers full dynamic range in its raw 4:2:2 HDStream mode. The images were recorded to HDCAM SR and re-timed to HDCAM and DigiBeta for offline. Zeiss Lenses finished the package, a full Viper set up. Viper supplied by Rogue Element Films and Operated by Dan Mulligan.
Viper shoots Tutenkahmen Exhibition Installation for Blenheim Palace
DP Dan Mulligan has used his Viper to light and shoot projection plates for an exhibition in Oxford's Blenheim Palace. This unusual use shows the Vipers flexibility and was used in its F900R mode, colour correction switched on shooting linear at 4:2:2 colour space to HDCAM SR.
Viper shoots  4:4:4 Green Screen Film "Plane"
Again Rogue Element Films provides the equipment and skills to shoot a 4:4:4 Viper Filmstream movie, a full Green Screen Film. This time we utilised the SRW1 decks HQ mode (High Quality) which records twice as much throughput to tape. The shoot went flawlessly and with 444 capture the clean keying has resulted in spectacular Post Production results. Dan Mulligan again Operated the Camera and provided full DFT (Digital Film Technician) back-up services.
Summer Wine 2006 uses Viper and SRW1
First UK project to ever use SRW1 with the Viper Filmstream camera and the first UK TV show to shoot with Thomsons Viper camera.
Panasonic Consumer Products Commercial
Again Rogue Element Films is at the forefront of 444 image capture. This time a Sony F950 with SRW1 was used to capture 444 and a Sony F900/3 uncompressed to SRW1 HDCAM SR and data disk 422. This is probably a first for a UK commercial and shows the increasing use of high end Digital capture.
Liberty X Video
Liberty X's new single will be the first to be shot using Viper Filmstream 444, fully greenscreen. Again the first time this has been done in the UK and Rogue Element Films has provided the equipment.
